A Collection of Char Aznable's Mobile Suits
Char Aznable is arguably the most iconic character of the entirety of the Mobile Suit Gundam legacy. Although he is a villain and forever rival of main character Amuro Ray, many aspects of Char make him one of the most loved characters in all of Gundam.
The most distinguished factor of Char is his signature color red. From his clothing to his mobile suits, everything is colored in a pinkish red, completely customized for Char himself, giving him the nickname "Akai Suisei" [Red Comet].
Char is first seen piloting the MS-06S "Char Zaku", which is Char's custom version of the mass produced MS-06 Zaku II. He first encounters Amuro piloting the RX-78-2 Gundam in this mobile suit, and the scene of Char Zaku kicking Gundam is to this day one of the most iconic Gundam scenes ever.
Regarding other red mobile suits in the original Mobile Suit Gundam series, Char is seen in the amphibious MSM-07S "Char Z'Gok", and the heavy, double beam sword bearing MS-14S "Char Gelgoog". Although Char is most famous for riding his signature red mobile suits [which are all tuned up and specialized for Char], Char also has been aboard a few non-custom color mobile suits. The most iconic in the first Mobile Suit Gundam series being the legless MSN-02 Zeong. The Zeong has one of the most infamous battles with Gundam in the last few episodes of Mobile Suit Gundam, and its obscure form and unique weapons have attracted a ton of fans.
Fast forward to Z Gundam, where Char Aznable no longer goes by Char, but by the pseudonym Quattro Bajeena [his real name is Casval Rem Deikun]. Char pilots the iconic, golden MSN-00100 "Hyaku-Shiki", the first golden mobile suit to appear in a Gundam series.
In the movie Mobile Suit Gundam: Char's Counterattack, Char goes back to riding his signature red mobile suit, this time the MSN-04 "Sazabi". Like many other of Char's mobile suits, Sazabi was built for "New Types" [humans who have reached another level of evolution], and has 6 "funnels", independent beam weapons that fly and shoot on their own.
