The Most Brutal, Dark, and Mysterious Female Mangaka - Q Hayashida

The Most Brutal, Dark, and Mysterious Female Mangaka - Q Hayashida

All you manga & anime fans out there are probably aware of Chainsaw Man, which is going crazy in the scene right now, with part 2 of the manga currently in serialization and the anime set to air next month. But did you know the man behind Chainsaw Man, Tatsuki Fujimoto, basically stated that his manga copies certain parts of another manga... Dorohedoro.

We've talked about the iconic manga  before here on sabukaru, and this time our focus is on the mangaka, Q Hayashida.

To be blatantly honest, we don't know too much about her. She could possibly be one of the most cryptic, mysterious mangaka out there, with no social media, no website, and no images of her online anywhere. [Even her Wikipedia Images is wrong] Her profile picture in her manga's is just a mere sphere-like object, with "Kyu" meaning "sphere" in Japanese.

But what we do know, is that she is one of the most badass mangaka out there. Her unique, gory dark fantasy style has created a cult following, starting with her debut short manga "Sofa Chan", to her most recent serialization "Dai Dark". What's crazy is that her style truly hasn't changed since she made her way into the manga world. If you put Sofa Chan and Dai Dark side by side, you wouldn't be able to tell which is newer.

But while her persona is highly mysterious, there are a few things we do know about her from the few interviews she has. 1, she likes gyoza [if you couldn't tell from Dorohedoro with the infamous & cute Gyoza Fairy]. 2, she states that her personality, if she were to compare with a character, would be close to Asu or Ebisu from Dorohedoro. 3, she spends an incredible amount of time & detail when creating illustrations in her work.

And 4... Just as they say in Dorohedoro...

Still, everything is lost in the chaos. This…is Q Hayashida!
