CMMAWEAR Dream Walks In Their SS24 Showcase
A crossbreed of Tokyo and Seoul creativity, Korean-based brand CMMAWEAR expands the functional universe and explores unorthodox lands.
With an unconventional take on classic staples, what CMMAWEAR brings to the table is beautifully balanced design and refined contemporary style. By empowering the wearer with practicalities and technicalities, CMMAWEAR is undeniably a functional brand but one that opens a door into the higher side of fashion.
In their latest SS24 showcase, titled ‘Dreamwalkin’, CMMAWEAR champions its proactive design principles with a collection that brings together unisex fittings and technically inspired fashion. Challenging the conventions of gender-oriented style, CMMAWEAR collides both menswear and womenswear into one unisex vision.
The collection looks to be their most expansive yet, highlighting their trademark formal-function aesthetic. We see suits with bold design nuances such as elongated zippers accompanied by shell jackets embellished with future-esque 3M detailing inspiring the thoughts of a futuristic uniform.
Having gained popularity for its use of unique patterning utilised in key staple items such as with their pants, or vests with various buckles uniting layers like a suit of armour, CMMAWEAR focuses on quality. While being inspired by everyday life, they produce garments that equip you to tackle it. Having only been established in 2020, the young brands’ voice echoes of imagination as they piece together a uniform that establishes itself as classy and timeless, but bold and outlandish at the same time.
Although CMMAWEAR is no newcomer in the scene, they are certainly one of the most prominent brands stepping up in the fashion landscape despite being largely under the radar from outside of Asia. With a clear and concise vision, they are one of the leading players in the more elegant side of the functional fashion universe; a realm that we see continuing to grow in popularity.
