Culture Gate to Japan is a cutting-edge art exhibition that showcases and highlights the diversity of Japanese culture through the lens of talented and recognized media artists. Distributed at all major airports around the country and one cruise terminal, each airport museum greets visitors with locally-themed digital artworks highlighting the historic and contemporary cultural artefacts and crafts of the surrounding region. You will be able to see, feel and experience Japan’s culture in an unprecedented manner.

Exhibits range from the incredibly detailed handcrafted goods produced in the Fukuoka region, to the majestic architecture and trade legacy of the Ryukyu Kingdom in the Okinawa Area. The Japan Media Arts Festival is a long-running art festival honoring outstanding works of art that use contemporary media and technology in four categories: art, manga, entertainment and animation.

Today, the festival continues to grow as an international event with over 3500 entries from more than 100 countries around the world.
