From Evangelion to Reality - The NERV App Saving Lives
For those of you who have seen the infamous Evangelion series, or maybe even just snippets from it, you're most likely aware of NERV, a special organization that was put together to fight the Angels.
While we know that they are the ones who created the Evangelions themselves, much of their presence is still a mystery. In the show, you sometimes don't even know if they are good or bad.
To one's surprise, NERV actually exists in the real world too. Well, kind of.

Unlike the show, the app doesn't focus on fighting Angels, but provides information about natural disasters happening in Japan at the fastest speeds. It even sends you "Earthquake Early Warnings", which notify you a few seconds even before a big earthquake hits. The app also simply works as a weather app as well, even when there aren't any disasters taking place.
All in all, the NERV Disaster Prevention app is a must have for anyone in Japan. While at first it might seem like an app made for Evangelion fans, there is no weather app, no disaster app that is so effective, so fast at giving the user information about natural catastrophes around them.
