Next Generation Artistry – Niall Ashley is Rapping to you from the Year 3023

The term ‘artist’ is thrown around easier than ever these days, but one painter turned musical extraordinaire is truly harnessing this term and proving its true definition.

Using both his talents in the artistic space and his acquisitive sense of flow and lyricism, Niall Ashely aka Llianwire is a rapper, movie maker, graphical genius, and modern-day artistical pioneer.

Today, emerging talents are blossoming onto the scene as each passing day goes by, but Llainwire is not from the present. Instead, this artist is living in the future and gracing us all with a contemporary lens into his digital universe. The young creative, although mystique and ambiguous, is already making waves on Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube.

Known originally as a painter creating colourful and chaotic pieces, his work eventually transcended the canvas and time travelled into the future. By breathing life into his work, Llainwire personified his paintings and made them into digital avatars where he then experimented with CGI-focused pieces. Allowing his characters to walk the metaverse, we can see his paintings move, talk, and dance in digitalized planes of existence.

Although already an astounding painter and digital creator, Llainwire recently turned his hand to music. Recently releasing 2 new songs, titled ‘Trust Fund’ and ‘Casca’, the artist-turned-rapper brings gritty flows and bilingual wordplay to create a mash-up of dancehall and space trap. Confidently floating from bar to bar, the mix of different sounds and genres sets the pace of the songs.

This jump to music is not to say he has forgotten his past skills though. Instead, he melts his creative journey together to provide a truly memorable blend of digital art and music. Using his skills in 3D rendering, the young artist collides live-action video with motion tracking to warp him in and out of a video game setting. What makes these music videos even more impressive is that they are all edited and directed by himself.
