By now, you might be familiar with one of our favorite functional brands from Tokyo, CCP.
We've collaborated with them, and believe they are one of Tokyo's coolest underground brands. While not young, the brand has continued to bring out unique silhouettes for decades now. Today we take a look at quite possibly the most underground collaboration in the functional fashion scene of Tokyo, CCP x softs ghost.
softs is a legendary clothing store located in the Kichijoji neighborhood of Tokyo, one of the most under-the-radar destinations for functional and outdoor clothing and anything rare and unique… [your favourite designer might already know the store]. If you're ever in the Kichijoji neighborhood & love quirky-yet-functional clothing, don't miss softs, because it's not the easiest shop to find. When two like-minds align, great things are born, and ghost is one of them.
While the origins and history behind the collaborative line are rather mysterious, you can tell that the pieces released under the ghost name take on the DNA of both sides. The one thing that is known about this collaboration, is that it started with softs owner GARI throwing concepts and ideas to CCP, and CCP bringing those to life.
Often times you will see some of CCP's staple pieces, like the high-neck Filter Top shirts, or Full Face Hoodies with GARI's distinctive touches sprinkled on. That continues to be the core of the ghost line, with the duo releasing items alongside CCP's main seasonal collections.
