The Little G-Wagon That Could – DAMD Shows That Size Doesn’t Matter

They say big things come in small packages, and this is exactly what Suzuki showed the worlds when they launched their Jimny in 1970.

The small but mighty SUV manufactured by the Japanese automaker is a Pseudo 4x4, having all the capabilities but coming in a bite sized packaged. In recent years, many people have compared the legendary Jimny to a small G-Wagon and Land Rover Defender, two coveted motors in this realm that share similar aesthetics but boast a much bigger price and size. DAMD, and auto body kit design and tuner based in Japan must have heard this and took it into their own hands to bring this to life.

Titled the ‘Little G’ and ‘Little D’, DAMD are enhancing your Jimny’s and upgrading them to miniature G-Wagons and Defenders. Looking strikingly similar to their bigger [and more expensive] big brothers, the modification kits for the Jimny have an uncanny resemblance with multiple features added on to the Jimny’s already impressive framework.

The Little G features a new bumper, grille, lights, and with more squared off features to mimic the G-Wagon such as the fender flairs and the footstep, the new and improved Jimny now looks like a bite sized Mercedes. Maintaining the G-Wagons ginormous wheels and exhaust may look funny to begin with, but we can’t help to see the charm and playfulness in it. Rounded all off with the DAMD branding, the Little G is a pocket rocket that will not only get you from A-B but look great while doing it for a margin of the G-Wagon price.

The Little D on the other hand takes it up a notch. Although with more or less the same modifications on the front end as the Little G, this Defender counterpart adds a front bonnet and whole new rear bumper. Adding in mudflaps make this an undeniable Defender mimic in all of the best of ways.

These are not the only customs that DAMD do, with them also creating kits for Sazuki Hustler and Wagon R to just name a few. We urge any die hard Sazuki fan to head to their website to check out there work.
