Badass Zelda Doesn't Need Saving - Christian Stone's Zelda Editorial
Nothing has been hotter these past few weeks than The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, the long-awaited sequel to Breath of the Wild.
That comes as no surprise, as the game has sold 10,000,000 copies worldwide in just 3 days, becoming by far the fastest-selling game in the series. To put it into perspective, Ocarina of Time, one of the franchise's most iconic games, sold 7.6 million copies on the Nintendo 64 during its entire run.
So, what better time is there to make a Zelda-themed editorial than now? Hong-Kong born, Central Saint Martins-grad designer Christian Stone nailed it with his recently posted shoot. The 2-parts of the editorial, which were released with the captions "LINK’s Off-Duty wardrobe unlocked" and "Badass Zelda doesn’t need saving", feature outfits with the designer's clothing styled in Link & Zelda-inspired looks, collaged on top of scans from Nintendo, Newtype, and Famitsu magazines.
Christian Stone has become a favorite in the fashion scene, ever since his crochet balaclavas and backpack boots became a sensation. His balaclava has been worn by many people, including A$AP Rocky, who evidently purchased the balaclava personally.
