CHAINSAW MAN RETURNS: PART 2 BY TATSUKI FUJIMOTO
Makima, Denji and Power - those three are names any manga fan will recognize immediately. These three characters are part of one of mangas current blockbusters: Chainsaw Man.
Creator Tatsuki Fujimoto just revealed the first two chapters of the second installment in the series while simultaneously breaking many Shonen Jump records. Previously known for deeply melancholic mangas Fire Punch and Goodbye Eri, Fujimoto managed to teleport himself to the top of the charts once again with Chainsaw Man.
The original story wrapped up back in 2020 and seemingly finished the captivating story revolving around the mysterious antagonist named gun devil and fan favorite femme fatale Makima, however the story returns with a fresh new, of course, gruesome, villain called the war devil, living within high school student Asa Mitaka.
The deservedly hyped story will finally debut as anime in late 2022, adapted by popular anime studio Mappa, known for it’s deft adaptations of Jujutsu Kaisen and Attack on Titan.
Welcome back Chainsaw Man.
