Gentle Fullness Season 2 – Frolicking Through the Streets of Tokyo

UK-based brand and friends Story MFG is a true breath of fresh air when it comes to the fashion industry.

Authentic and intricately wholesome, the brand dedicates itself to being as conscious as it can when it comes to its impact. Now with their ongoing project, GENTLE FULLNESS, this same holistic essence is distilled throughout with certain design tweaks to create a new brand which, although sits in a similar field to its larger brother, has its own charm entirely.

GENTLE FULLNESS is an expansion rather than a new entity. The brand takes inspiration from vintage techniques and designs and reimagines them, playfully incorporating tactile fabrics and cuts to excite modern consumers whilst providing a sense of nostalgia for the old heads. Partnering with Dan Pacciti and Oshadi Collective, this triad of conscious creatives is turning it into one of the most exciting brands to come out of the UK in recent years.

For their second drop, labelled Season 2, the brand takes to the streets of Tokyo to go frolicking through its concrete fields. From neon-lit streets humming with Tokyo nightlife to the couches of a karaoke bar, this GENTLE FULLNESS editorial takes us on a romantic journey of the connection between the youth and the streets. Shot by our good friend Joshua Gordon the images here manage to capture a perfect creative language for the young brand.

Season 2 showcases baggy silhouettes paired with elaborate patterns, creating an alluring sense of excitement yet all being grounded with laid-back style: trousers, graphic t’s, button-up shirts, and wide jackets we are used to seeing from Story are all present here, but the pieces have been dipped in a GENTLE FULLNESS outer coating creating a unique pillar of style in the wider universe of Story.
