I LOVE YU By Otake Shinro

I love yu/ I♥︎湯 is an art installation and sento located on Naoshima.

Designed by Japanese artist Otake Shinro, I LOVE YU is an art installation where visitors can take a bath in.

We already told you about sento, the Japanese public baths. [Link in Bio] This very special sento was created for Naoshima residents to rejuvenate and as a venue for exchanges between Japanese and international visitors and locals to take place.

Artist Otake Shinro used recycled objects from all over Japan to design this unique facility. His art is visible throughout the whole sento, from the entrance hall to the toilet.

The name of the bathhouse is a play on words - the Japanese character for hot water (湯) is read as yu.
