REDLINE: No Holds Barred Punkesque Racing

Redline was an anime movie directed by Takeshi Koike firstly aired in 2009 and was produced by the animation giants Madhouse. The plot revolves around a no-holds-barred race set in the distant future called Redline and one of its participants, a daredevil racing driver that goes by the name of JP.

Being an action movie revolving around race cars, the premise of the plot is incredibly straightforward and does not come with clever twists, it simply just gets the job done, which is not a bad thing at all in this case. The plot was never really the main focal point in this movie anyways. That point goes to the absolutely stunning animation done by Madhouse.

The movie took a grand total of 7 years to complete, over 100,000 frames used in production and is arguably the most visually stunning piece of work ever produced by Madhouse, which in and of itself is well-regarded in the world of anime for producing incredibly solid works animation-wise.
