The Chaotic Cyber Universe of Osean World: The Leading Figure For the Next Generation of Artists
The Internet cannot be tamed. It holds the entire world’s knowledge and Internet-based careers are skyrocketing, and so has its competition.
It’s essentially a man-made beast that crawls beneath the surface of our realities, shaping our perspectives subconsciously. If it’s hard to dodge its addictiveness, it’s even harder to find a middle ground between reliance and inspiration. Still, one creative has found a way to completely change our relationship with it: Osean.
Nobody is ready to plunge into the complex pixel world of Osean. It’s a parallel cyber universe called “oseanworld”, divided into realms such as “cyberspace”, “hyperrealm”, and “endless realm”. Each of these realms feeds an intricate nexus tied to Osean World, the manga created by Osean. The manga overlaps with his other creations, especially his music. Bringing back vocaloids in full force with his creation Yameii, Osean plays with electronic music, hip-hop, and hyperpop to create an alternative style, in collaboration with Deko, as well as kaleidoscopic CGI shorts.
The mastermind behind this is Sean-Tyler Thomas Walton. This artist worked for hip-hop moguls such as Playboi Carti and Lil Uzi Vert in his early career but later turned to forge his own path, which doubtlessly was the right thing to do, looking at the talent and passion in his works. Osean is a genius when it comes to digital art: mixing Y2K and vaporwave influences layered over a psychedelic trip into the world wide web, the artist finds home in Japanese media, Superflat, memes, cartoons, and more.
Deadric city, Labaeyga, Kami; there is still so much to explore. The futuristic fascination around Osean World is never ending, and anyone could go on a tangent about how well-thought every element of the puzzle is. Especially in this new digital era with CGI and NFTs, Osean truly sets the tone for what’s next in contemporary art, and there is nothing more urgent than hopping on his train of consciousness.
