Eye_C Harmonises Nature and Function for the Merrell 1TRL Autumn/Winter 22
The tasteful and contemporary approach that Eye_C brings in their editorials is always refreshing to see, and their latest work with Merrell is no different.
Taking their production to the scenic outdoors, their shoot for the 1TRL range highlights three models from the Autumn/Winter ‘22 collection. Featuring the Winter Moc 3, Moab Slide, and the Moab 2 Decon Mid, the editorial pulls together elegant styling with rustic tones to provide sophisticated shooting.
1TRL is a branch of Merrell that challenges traditional trail-oriented footwear but still maintains the stature of their well-respected brand. Its focus is to allow us greater functionality for the outdoors; from Vibram soles for better traction to premium materials such as suede leather for comfortability and durability. In this latest Eye_C editorial, they help to bring this essence to life capturing the 3 models in an organic and authentic environment.
The shoot brings together warm blankets, rough denim, oversized coats, and most notably a horse. The latter may be the thing that initially pulls you into the creative aesthetic, but what makes you stay is the meticulous detail and features of the shoes from Merrel. Tactile textiles and earthy tones inform a rural but luxurious feel to the collection fitting perfectly within today’s outdoor-forward fashion.
All models are designed for different environments but fulfill a similar goal. The updated rendition of the Merrell 1TRL’s classic moc, the Winter Moc 3, features a suede and textile upper with a rubber outsole for added traction. We next see the Moab Slide be reimagined, from a traditional walking boot to a slip-on style shoe for ease of use.
With a suede leather upper and Vibram sole, the shoe provides ultimate confidence with its grip, flexibility and durability. Finally, the Moab 2 Decon Mid is an archival spin on a desert boot, refining its wearability to allow for everyday use. We see a deconstructed upper and Vibram outsole paired with an EVA foam midsole creating a shoe that gives us unmatched functionality.
